This calculator will estimate how much stone and/or sand (in tons) that are required for your job based on your material type and measurements.

Time to Sod in Preparation for the Winter in Northern Virginia

Winter is fast approaching  and now is the time to SOD.  
 
When your old grass dies, it gives off nutrients that actually benefit the new sod above it. The main nutrient that the dead grass layer provides is nitrogen. Applying sod directly over grass is advantageous because it requires less work.
 
RSSY offer four types of SOD grass on pallets. 

·TALL FESCUE GRASS: 600 SQ FT PER PALLET OR 10 SQ FT PER ROLL
·BLUEGRASS: 600 SQ FT PER PALLET OR 10 SQ FT PER ROLL
·ZOYSIA GRASS: MINIMUM ORDER 100 SQ FT OR FULL PALLETS
