Time to Sod in Preparation for the Winter in Northern Virginia

October 29, 2021
Winter is fast approaching  and now is the time to SOD.

When your old grass dies, it gives off nutrients that actually benefit the new sod above it. The main nutrient that the dead grass layer provides is nitrogen. Applying sod directly over grass is advantageous because it requires less work.

RSSY offer four types of SOD grass on pallets.

·TALL FESCUE GRASS: 600 SQ FT PER PALLET OR 10 SQ FT PER ROLL
·BLUEGRASS: 600 SQ FT PER PALLET OR 10 SQ FT PER ROLL
·ZOYSIA GRASS: MINIMUM ORDER 100 SQ FT OR FULL PALLETS
·BERMUDA GRASS: 500 SQ FT PALLET

Call (703) 339-8095 for pricing and delivery information or visit our website.

Dimensional and Irregular Flagstone

September 20, 2021
RSSY stocks both dimensional and irregular flagstone for patio, walkway and outdoor area. The image is dimensional Flagstone and one of the best materials for patios primarily due to its narrow-packed joints that allow water to permeate instead of running off.

Flagstone patios also have a very natural, organic look due to their shape and earthy shades of browns, reds, grays and blues. The most common types of flagstone used for paving patios are sandstone, slate and limestone. Flagstone provides a durable and naturally slip-resistant patio surface that will last for years. Call RSSY today for details and pricing.

Take Advantage of Your Outdoor Space with Our Hardscape Supplies

July 26, 2021
Hello Northern Virginia homeowners, we are officially in the thick of summer, and many homeowners are getting their yards ready for some serious entertaining and late summer fun. Hardscaping lets you take advantage of your outdoor space with unique elements that can take your yard from average to awesome. Here are three hardscaping ideas you can use to upgrade your Northern VA property this summer:

Patios. If you’re looking for a simple but beautiful space for entertaining in your backyard, a patio might be the right idea for you. With patios, you can change the shape, layout, size, and placement of your hardscaping so it’s just right for your home. We have patio pavers and flagstone in many shapes and colors.

Outdoor kitchen. For some, a fancy grill is enough to satisfy the need for a major masonry installation like a gorgeous stone outdoor kitchen. But if you’re tired of going in and out of your house throughout the barbecue to wash your hands, get condiments, and check the oven for your baked mac n’ cheese, an outdoor kitchen is a great summer hardscape idea for you.

Fire pit. Just like the patio, the fire pit is a classic and popular hardscape design for the summer months. Fire pits aren’t just a great place to congregate with your family. They’re also the epitome of what summer is about: hanging out with friends and family around a fire, roasting marshmallows, and relaxing as the sun goes down.

Please call (703) 339-8095 or visit our website for many great ideas for your summer hardscape project.
